Overview
Mastercard Payment Solutions Controller plays a vital role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic financial management. The Vice President, Controller – Mastercard Payment Solutions & Vocalink will be responsible for overseeing accounting and financial reporting for real-time payments, transfer solutions, and related applications. This position is based in London and requires expertise in financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance.

Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor and report compliance with the Bank of England oversight regulations.
- Support the Danish regulatory requirements for Mastercard Payment Services (MPS).
- Assist in reviewing compliance with the monitoring trustee appointed by the CMA.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Internal Controls
- Apply accounting principles to resolve complex issues, ensuring adherence to regulatory and technical accounting standards.
- Advise senior leadership, including the CFO and Assistant Corporate Controller, on accounting-related transactions.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, optimizing business processes and monitoring financial records integrity.
- Liaise between controllership and the Global Business Service Center (GBSC) to resolve transaction-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with Mastercard policies, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
- Support statutory audits, prepare audit documentation, and coordinate with external auditors.
- Oversee pension accounting, working with external advisors and actuaries.
- Manage intercompany arrangements in collaboration with Tax, Legal, and regional controllership teams.
- Assist Tax and LFI teams in legal entity structure management to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Support internal audits and present financial reports to management and Boards of Directors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification required.
- Experience in financial control, operational oversight, and compliance.
- Ability to engage senior leadership and board committees.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
