Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Internal Controls

  • Apply accounting principles to resolve complex issues, ensuring adherence to regulatory and technical accounting standards.
  • Advise senior leadership, including the CFO and Assistant Corporate Controller, on accounting-related transactions.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls, optimizing business processes and monitoring financial records integrity.
  • Liaise between controllership and the Global Business Service Center (GBSC) to resolve transaction-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Mastercard policies, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
  • Support statutory audits, prepare audit documentation, and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Oversee pension accounting, working with external advisors and actuaries.
  • Manage intercompany arrangements in collaboration with Tax, Legal, and regional controllership teams.
  • Assist Tax and LFI teams in legal entity structure management to ensure accurate transaction recording.
  • Support internal audits and present financial reports to management and Boards of Directors.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience in financial control, operational oversight, and compliance.
  • Ability to engage senior leadership and board committees.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
