As a key part of Sydney Water’s IICATS Solutions team, you will create essential electrical documentation and drawings for core business projects focused on remote telemetry. Your advanced AutoCAD skills will be put to use in shaping the direction of remote telemetry applications in the Australian utilities industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical design and drafting for projects using AutoCAD.
- Utilize AutoDesk AutoCAD to assist in project delivery.
- Produce template drawings in AutoCAD as per project requirements.
- Assist engineers with electrical layouts, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems.
- Prepare drawings, plans, and diagrams for Sydney Water assets.
- Manage version control within Sydney Water’s electronic drawing management system.
- Guide drafting colleagues on electrical drawing modifications.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Experience as an Electrical Designer or Draftsperson preparing single-line diagrams, schematics, and control circuits using AutoCAD.
- TAFE or university qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Drafting.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited direction and meet tight deadlines.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.
