Key Responsibilities of the Midwifery Educator
As a Midwifery Educator, you will support clinical staff and students by delivering comprehensive education programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing training programs for midwifery staff
- Mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students
- Assessing clinical competencies and facilitating continuous learning
- Collaborating with the Midwife Unit Manager to improve patient outcomes
- Ensuring staff adhere to hospital-wide education policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience Required
To thrive in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Registered Midwife with AHPRA accreditation
- At least 8 years of senior midwifery experience, including 5 years in postnatal care
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE)
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
