About the Role
Better in Home Care is seeking dedicated disability support workers who can deliver essential care to participants with high-complex needs. This position requires a compassionate professional with a strong commitment to improving clients’ quality of life through personalized assistance and support.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care and Assistance
- Assist with morning routines, including helping participants get out of bed, changing clothes, and preparing for the day.
- Prepare and serve meals while adhering to dietary requirements.
- Provide mobility support to assist participants with walking and daily activities.
Toileting and Hygiene Support
- Assist with incontinence care and ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Provide showering assistance and maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and washing dishes.
Seizure Management
- Monitor and respond appropriately to seizures, ensuring participant safety.
- Remain calm and supportive during seizure episodes and provide required care.
- Follow care protocols and seek emergency assistance if needed.
