We are seeking a Breast Care Registered Nurse to provide expert care and support to breast cancer patients. This role is a job-share position alongside an experienced breast care nurse at a leading private hospital in Toowoomba, QLD.
As a Breast Care Registered Nurse, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, offering guidance and emotional support from diagnosis through treatment. You will collaborate with breast surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nursing care, education, and emotional support to patients and families.
- Assist with pre/post-operative education and wound management.
- Coordinate care with breast surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

About You
- Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with 2+ years’ experience (3+ years in breast care or oncology preferred).
- Postgraduate qualification in Breast Cancer Nursing is desirable.
- Strong ability to provide both clinical and emotional support to patients.
- Familiarity with McGrath Cancer Care Services and best practices in breast cancer support would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
