Evaluation Officer – Defence Industry Security Branch
Chandler Macleod is seeking Evaluation Officers to support the Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB) in managing the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP). This program ensures that industries comply with security requirements for Defence tenders, contracts, and projects. Evaluation Officers will be responsible for assessing and processing DISP applications, managing membership entities, and maintaining the DISP Membership System (DMS). They will also support key DISP activities, ensure compliance with Defence policies, respond to external inquiries, and handle various ad-hoc tasks to assist the DISB in maintaining organisational integrity.Evaluation Officer Defence Industry Security

About the Role
We are seeking APS5 Evaluation Officers to support the Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB). This role involves assessing and processing Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) applications, ensuring compliance with Defence policies, and supporting the DISP Membership System (DMS).

Key Responsibilities
- Application Processing
- Assess and process DISP applications
- Manage membership entities
- Provide weekly status reports
- Respond to external inquiries
- Membership Management
- Complete Annual Security Reports
- Conduct follow-ups on assessments
- Update case tracker and maintain records
- Organise access to the Security Officer Portal
- Governance & System Support
- Participate in system testing and improvements
- Support business governance processes
- Act as a change advocate for system adoption
- General Duties
- Process around 30 applications per month
- Manage overdue applications
- Create and update client membership profiles
- Assess and process membership upgrades or downgrades
- Monitor and identify risks related to memberships
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Security Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Must hold an active BASELINE security clearance
- Ability to obtain NEGATIVE VETTING 1 clearance if required
